Submissions OPEN from April 1st, 2026 - April 30th, 2026 for our summer issue, Fireflies & Fae. Please send us your best themed flash, poetry, and short stories. Maybe a family of fireflies illuminated your ride home one night. What if you saw the wee forest fae dancing in a sunny meadow? The possibilities are endless. Just remember, we are accepting only work within the themes of 1) summer and/or 2) magical creatures.

Genre: Any except erotica

Word Count Max:

• 40 lines for poetry

• 1000 lines for flash fiction

• 3000 words for short stories

The Cabochon Review will not accept anything hateful. No homophobia, bigotry, or grotesque violence/sexual assault. We are also not the place for explicit sex scenes. Please keep things PG-13. 

The Cabochon Review is currently an online magazine, but we plan to print in the future as well.
